I can still picture it, sitting on the attic stairs of my childhood home, holding an old guitar my uncle had just given me. I didn’t know how to play, but I was hooked the moment I touched it.

By 23, music had taken me to Nashville. I was playing in bands, chasing the road, and all in on the dream until life called an audible. When my wife Jackie and I found out we were expecting our first child, I stepped away, moved back to Pennsylvania, and built a life raising a family and running a drywall business.

It wasn’t glamorous, but it was full. Three kids, long days, and a lot of love.

Thirty-five years later, the songs came back.

What started as voice memos traded with songwriter Steve Hindalong (The Choir, Lost Dogs) turned into something real. With longtime collaborator Matt Goss, I stepped back into the studio this time with a lifetime of stories to tell.

The result is a collection of songs rooted in Americana and heartland rock, honest, reflective, and shaped by the long road between who you were and who you become.
